Mennonite Community Services (MCS) is a not-for-profit organization serving the Aylmer community and surrounding area. They successfully run five programs along with community events that directly support community members.
Framework: Develop a visual brand and guide that would be recognizable across all digital platforms and sources of printed material.
Solution:  After discussing some important factors, such as their organizations roots and who they serve, a decision was made to emphasize faith and accessibility for new immigrants. A triangular element that could be used as a pattern, subtly represents their core faith-based beliefs (the Trinity Father, Son and Holy Ghost). This pattern is interchangeable in five different colours to easily recognize each program without being fluent in the English language. In all cases, the text clearly states the program as well to ensure accessibility. Simple typography was chosen for ultimate legibility, photos that directly relate to the articles and infographic imagery to help tell the story. This visual brand has been successfully applied with ease to annual reports, event flyers, stationary, program brochures and digital media. The professional look and feel for MCS has increased their program awareness and has given them a stronger presence in their community.
